About Us

GoalBud was co-founded by Alden Mills, Navy SEAL, entrepreneur, speaker, and author.   The concept to harness the power of social networking for goal achievement was inspired by the support Commander Mills gave to Co-Founder John Keagy while climbing Mt. Everest.  Alden was John's "Swimbuddy".  The first GoalBud prototype was built in a tent in a blizzard at Everest Base Camp.  Here is the rest of the Everest story.
